"Portlandia" Premiere
"Portlandia" is a new show that playfully mocks Oregon's lefty metropolis. It springs from the minds of "Saturday Night Live" cast member Fred Armisen and Sleater-Kinney/Wild Flag member Carrie Brownstein. Check out the premiere of "Portlandia" while it's still on Hulu. If you can relate to it you'll probably like it.

Ninja Video Shut Down
"Authorities at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Agency seized the domains of nine websites that had been charged with illegally pirating first-run movies yesterday. But while the domains were taken down as part of ICE’s “Operation In Our Sites,” two of the sites have already reappeared just 24 hours later.
The sites TVShack.net, Movies-Links.TV, FilesPump.com, NinjaVideo.net, NinjaThis.net, Now-Movies.com, PlanetMoviez.com, ThePirateCity.org and ZML.com, had all bought their domains from US-based registrars, which had allowed federal authorities to seize the domains. The ICE replaced those domains with the following image, warning users that it is unlawful to distribute copyrighted information without authorization. . ."

Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack
If you like cartoons you should check out Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack. It's so cute! It's about a boy, named Flapjack, and a captain who live in a whale. The two go on silly adventures that usually involve candy. They participate in beard-offs and go to the 99 Pence Store. It's pretty much my favorite thing ever right now! I love the voices of the characters and the style of the cartoon as a whole.
You can watch the whole first season (and some of the second) on the Cartoon Network website.

Super Bowl = Super Bore
I don't watch the Super Bowl. Never have. Sure, I've seen parts of it, like when I used to work and it was on in the break room, but I would never intentionally watch it on my own time.
I did watch the commercials online though. I thought that they were pretty lame. The Doritos "Crystal Ball" ad was top rated and probably the best of all the commercials I have seen. Meaning that the ad was only mildly amusing. There's been a lot of talk online about the Google commercial, but it was old. Google reused it for the Super Bowl. The Motorola ad featured Megan Fox in a bath tub "sexting". What a great role model for teens!
Overall, none of the commercials really stood out this year. It was pretty much the same old stuff you see on television any day. I guess we can blame it on the recession.

Theme of the day?
Larry: By the way why do they call [blow jobs] a job? Is it so hard? Is it a lot of work?
Jeff: Tugging, sucking. . . it's a lot of work. I wouldn't want to do it.
Larry: It is a job. . . no wonder they don't like it.

Bored to Death
I love Jason Schwartzman. From Rushmore to his band Coconut Records, I have always been a big fan. He is starring in the new HBO show "Bored to Death." It's a cute quirky comedy that seems more like an indie film that a television show. I've only seen the first two episodes, but so far so good.

Television Nerd
I'm so excited about today's new episodes of The Office, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and of course Project Runway! On Sunday, Curb Your Enthusiasm will be back! I'm such a nerd.
If you don't get Showtime and HBO (or any sort of television service) go to Ninja Video and watch them!
