Woodland Creatures Stationery

I was in Micheal's yesterday looking for some random craft items when I discovered a few bins full of this adorable stationery. There are gift cards, note cards, magnetic tablets, note & pen sets, and mini post-its (not pictured). Not only is everything super cute, but each of these items only cost $1.99!

Tea with Mr. Fox

I'm in love with my new Hidden Animal Teacup. It is the perfect cup for tea, coffee, or gin and tonics. They also make cups with owls, bears, rabbits, and squirrels. I'm tempted to buy more.

Shirts

"Two Turntables and a Homophone" shirt available at Diesel Sweeties
My computer has been broken for a while now and I've been having to use my mom's ancient beast. So, instead of working on blog posts (or homework) I've been shopping for shirts online. I've also been singing up for bumper stickers. . . just saying that makes me feel really unproductive. Seriously though, how can you resist a free anti-Sarah Palin or anti-Fox News bumper sticker?!

I got some great shirts from Threadless the other day.  Of course, today they are having a sale and all shirts are $9, but I'll learn to forgive them eventually.

North Peak & Grizzly Peak

I don't really like beer, but I think North Peak and Grizzly Peak beer is so cute! I have no idea where you would buy them though.

Fox Scarf

Foks in Aqua by Celapiu
Would you wear this?  I don't know if I would, but I kind of like it.  It's silly, yet practical.  It is a bit expensive though.

Zozo the Magic Queen

I love Marie Antoinette, so I was delighted to discover the "Zozo the Magic Queen" calendar. It is so cute! I can't wait for 2010 so that I can use it!

Boy Girl Party!

I had a really good time with my friends today.  Sarah bought some really cute cards by Susie Ghahremani.  I used to have a Poketo wallet featuring her whale design that I loved.  Gharhremani's web site is called Boy Girl Party and has loads of adorable stuff.  Totes, shirts, magnets, necklaces, and prints.  I'm a big fan of her hedgehog themed sets.

Smarty Pugs?

I really love the website Mod Cloth.  They have really cute vintage-inspired clothing.

I was browsing the site today when I encountered their new section, "Smarty Pugs."  I find it sort of funny, but mostly disturbing.  As the website puts it, "Look as brilliant as these geniuses with thought-provoking frames."  I will agree that the photos are thought-provoking.

I love Deadworry's hand screen printed totes and shirts. You should check out their Etsy shop for some great deals. My favorite is the "Octo-Owl."

HTC Touch Pro 2

HTC Touch Pro 2, originally uploaded by Compulenta II.

I've been shopping for phones lately and have decided on HTC's Touch Pro 2. The only problem is actually getting it. It was supposed to be available on Sprint this July but somehow keeps getting delayed. It is available on T-Mobile (not my carrier) in "Sparkle Brown." Yuck! Who wants to spend $350 on a brown phone?! I finally visited the Sprint store and after dealing with some sleazy salesmen I found out that it was going to be released September 8th. Today, I found out that this may not be the case. I might be delayed until Windows Mobile 6.5 comes out in October. I'm not particularly impatient, I just want to know for sure when it will be available.

A Little Squirrelly

I came across this item on the Patina web site and my first thought was "Wow, this would be perfect for Sarah and Asher!" No, they are not squirrels, but people with an inside joke pertaining to squirrels.

As to the website puts it, "Are you sick and tired of squirrels running naked in the trees around your house? Have you had to hide your children’s eyes when a tiny furry streaker crosses the sidewalk in front of you? We’ve got the answer, Squirrel Underpants! . . . Also good for hamsters, frogs and gerbils. Yes, we're serious."

I wonder if it has a hole in the back for their tails?

Bacon

After learning about Baconnaise from the Daily Show, then bacon salt, I began to wonder about what other bacon products were out there. I'm disgusted and amazed. There's everything from bacon themed clothes to bacon personal lubricant. Yuck!

Disappointed

I think The Sims 3 is pretty lame. Sure the backgrounds look better if you have a good graphics card, but if you don't then it's a step down.

-The Sims look cartoonish. They all look like they have double chins and it's hard not to make them have fat faces. You still cannot change their height.

-The Sims you create cannot interact with each other. You can only have one active household per neighborhood so your Sims have to interact with their crappy Maxis-made neighbors.

-The personality traits are few and not as exciting as promised. There are actual traits: party-animal, loner, charismatic, good, evil. Then more hobby oriented ones like: bookworm, loves the outdoors, artistic. Lastly there are traits that you will probably never use such as never-nude, like the character Tobias from Arrested Development.

-Being able to leave the house isn't really all it's cracked up to be. If you have the other expansion packs for The Sims 2 it's not really a new concept. On The Sims 3 you can go to lots where you can see inside buildings and control you Sim (like in The Sims 2) or you can go to lots where all you can do is look at the outside of the building (restaurants, work, the spa, grocery store, etc.)

-The clothes and hairstyles are pretty minimal. Luckily there is a tool that lets you change the fabrics, colors, and designs on the clothes. If you're lazy like me, it's hard to come up with good outfits like the ones in the picture above. All my Sims wear are black shirts and jeans.

Just Thinking

I want to steal this girl's style! It seems like I have been coming up with all kinds of good outfit ideas and I don't have any money to make them happen.

You Are Not My Type

, originally uploaded by Life Sparks.

I'm on the look out for a vintage typewriter. I want one so bad. I was hoping to find one when we cleaned out the garage last summer, but all I found were some old rotary phones.
