Lady Gaga: Waste of Time

I just spent nearly ten minutes watching this Lady Gaga video. Would I recommend you do the same? No, definitely not. I only the posted the video so you would know which one I was talking about and have access to it. Generally, I try to avoid pop music, but I always end up being forced to watch crappy videos such as this. I just figured I'd save myself some time and get it out of the way now.

I heard that this video is considered somewhat controversial, but if that's what they were aiming for it missed the mark. The video is essentially a man's fantasy of a women's prison. The women are thin, scantily cad and not at all like real inmates. Being true to our culture, the video sexualizes women and lesbianism while adding a dash of violence. The director was going for a Quentin Tarantino vibe, but overall comes off more like old Madonna. After being released from prison, Gaga & Beyoncé are portrayed in traditional gender roles and at the end add poison to their cooking. Didn't she poison a man in her Paparazzi video? How's that for innovation?
